1991 300E Defrost/Heater Always On

I have an old 91 300e I found someone junked it, left it in the woods 5 years
animals ate most of it, I got it running after 2 years, it's my only car, I'm poor and unable to get the heat turned off, Florida is HOT now, I see the coolant comes out the rear of left side and also behind reservoir tank goes in 2 lines on right side so I am wondering why hot water runs through the dash year round? None of climate control is functioning, I love driving this car but need to get defrost off or die of heat stroke,
Thank you for any tips,
Cheers

Move to Alaska!! or put it back where you found it!!

PS: I also reside in Florida, however am not as nautical as you--which side of the car is port and what side is starboard. Additionally how did you handle the registration of a lost or abandoned car??

Port is Left
Starboard is Right

Title is in my name,
It appears that hot water circulates through the or behind the dash in the form of the heater core, Im just wondering if it is possible to redirect the Hot Coolant mixture without disrupting the flow of coolant through the engine block.

Give me a day or so to find the heating circuit drawing and I will be in a better position to answer your questions!!

First I am going to keep this real simple! Standing in front and facing the car, my R and L----Next Try mastering the AC Heating controls--turn the blower down. Turn the defrost off and set the temp dial to 72--Normally that will energizes the monovalve and stop the flow of hot engine coolant through the heating system!!

If that does not work, then I would suggest that you simply stop the flow of coolant from circulating through the heating system----to do that the coolant circulating pump and monovalve are located on the L rear. Remember that the valve is on the outlet side and when functioning properly opens and closes depending on the cabin temp you set. Therefore to stop the flow remove the valve and then close off the two ends---coolant will never flow because you have removed the valve designed to allow coolant to flow.

Now when you ever have a spare thousand you can take the car to a responsible place to get the AC and heating system functioning.---Good luck and shove off!!

PS You have a 124.030 and the engine is a 103.983

Thank you for your expertise I know our time is valuable and non-refundable, so again, thank you,

I have since my post removed glove box and located a component with a plunger type valve and many vacuum lines attached to it, and when I forced the plunger in, changing the position of a valve, I assume, the air ceased to flow through the interior.

Cheers,

What you are screwing with is the vacuum switch over valve block--all the AC and heating flaps are controlled by that manifold. The flap action opens or closes a specific air passage and directs the hot or cold air to the position you selected!!Does not produce any hot or cold air!!
