Neutral Safety Switch
1. NSS was replaced in 2013 - prior to being replaced modifications (tightening, alignment of NSS) was all that was required
2. 2015 - acting up; battery replaced, doesn't start in P or N. However, does start when using the bypass process of POS battery post to middle pin of 3 driver side in engine compartment.
3. Once started, drive for a few miles, turn off, it starts right up - multiple times
4. After 24 hours (or less), half to revert back to #2 to start it. Is this indicative of needing another NSS, or other?

Out Of Control!!
No, Forget the HS guess work------have you ever done any diagnostics---if the answer is no, then you have three choices--live with it--take the car to someone who knows older MB's--post the same question on the hundreds of MB boards!!
