Removing Cup Holder In Center Console
I believe someone had previously written that the cup holder in the center console (2001 E320) was removable. Looking at page 165 of the Owners Manual does not show how to remove this over-engineered cup holder. Anyone familiar with the procedure?

02 CLK 430 Coupe
I think, but am not sure, that it is the same cup holder as in the 208 CLK. (Push the chrome circle and the thing comes up and swings out toward passenger side.) If it is the same, then all you have to do to get it out is pull upwards on the whole assembly. It snaps into place by a couple tabs on the rear of the assembly. Pretty easy to do.
