Mercedes E300td
Control unit gearbox А021 545 08 32
We apologize for the bad English. Engaged in Macedonia
I have bought the old Mercedes E300T.D / 97
I checked the computer from dirt. The computer that is responsible for regulation of automatic transmission called A 021 545 08 32 manufacturer Siemens had a very liquid (do not know as: oil, coolant, similar to that used elekrotrafo, fluid contact).
PS In conversations with my friends said it is ATF fluid (oil) as using the automatic gearbox and power assisted steering. But I'm not sure.
Currently this part is no fluid, because I do not know whether there should be and what quantity.
Please answer: What is liquid name, why the use, required quantity

Did you ever get a response any where else on this question. I have the same problem. Need to get these questions answered.

i read THIS entire thread couple of weeks ago, the problem is that oil starts climbing up the wires to the modules,
easy to fix ,
easy to fix ,
I had at least 3 ounces of fluid in the ECM box! I'm surprised there wasn't any tripped transmission codes.
I followed jvmaxime's lead and got the electronic cleaner and did a very extensive job on cleaning it until the cleaner was no longer pink. What a mess. Also drilled a couple of 1/8 in holes in the bottom at each end.
Thanks for your reply and direction to the right place, much appreciate. If you are ever in the area, the drinks are on me.
