More brabus goodies came in the mail while im waiting to get my panels back from the upholstery shop.

These are for the rears. Gonna run them along with my AMG fronts...for now. Going to keep an eye out for the brabus fronts though. Hard to come across these anymore.

Still waiting on the leather wrapping. Bought new floormats. They really needed to be replaced, as the old ones were original. from 1996 lol.

Great project!

Id like to see your solution for spacing out the front wheels. I run H&R in the back, but the front is a tough nut to crack as far as fitment over the hubs!

Thanks man. I tried out a 10mm H&R hubcentric and it seemed to fit fine. You sure youre using the right spacer?

I only use H&R spacers and the grease cap on the front hubs has never allowed a hub centric spacer to fit in my experience. Not sure if ALL W210's are like the two I have or not? I don't think Id want to use a non hub centric fitment spacer in the front?

you can use a non hubcentric but it might get a little vibration at like 60mph. I tried on a H&R and it fit over the center of the hub...but barely.
Im currently using some non hubcentric 5mms and no problems.

Ok, thanks for your info and knowledge. I just might give some non hub centric spacers a shot and see if I can live with any vibration. Hopefully there wont be any!

(thought I'd sneak this post in for Flatline)

couple of weeks ago, I took my bike out for some exercise and to break in new
shocks. it was a 400 mile sport touring through some nearby mountain twisties.
i had trouble keeping up with the other two guys because they were more
nimble. you can barely make out the tail section of the Penigale S my friend was
riding. Mine is the ZRX1200. It was an awesome day trip as we caught the
ferry for the final leg home with the full moon rising. oh, he wife okayed the
purchase of the Ti Akro exhaust - when I lost sight of him, I could still hear the
roar as the throttled it out of the turns. totally awesome

Haha nice. That's a LOOOONG ride for that bike...his wrists must be killing him and his inner thigh must be on fire. Does his bike spit lots of rocks up at you? I hear that complaint from my friends a lot.

Did some spacer work this weekend. I know its a look that not a lot of you guys like, but I feel it filled in the fenders a bit and provides a little bit more of a flush look while still remaining functional and not rubbing at all.

Okay, so this is EXACTLY how I want my car to sit. Perfect stance, in my opinion!! I think I need to first find a nice set of staggered 19"'s, like the Brabus you found. But it would be nice if I could get my car to sit on my stock AMG 18's without rubbing.

Any advice?

Gotta go spacers and skinnier tires. Nothing too dramatic. I went 225 front and 245 rear on 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. I also have the upper camber arms, so I can bring the tire in and out depending on how close I want it to the fender. Id try that tire combo and measure for spacers. MSG franswisha, I think that's how he spells it...Hes rocking amg monoblocks and hes pretty flush...can get some spacer advice from him.

Oh, so yours are 18's, I didn't notice that! Well, at first when I read your suggestion to go skinnier, I was thinking it's too thin, but yours don't look that bad. I'm currently running (stock) 245 in front and 275 in rear.

Do you have any pics of the stance from the rear where I can see the width of the tires?

I'm doing a search to find franswisha now, no luck so far... but tell me, don't spacers push the tire closer to the fender? How exactly does that work? Or do you need the spacers to make up the difference when you go with skinnier tires?

Oh my bad, that's his IG handle haha. His SN here on the forum is Siopaolover.

Yeah ill take some pics of the car this weekend...the garage I normally park it in isn't very well lit. Yes spacers push the tire closer to the fender...even with 275 rears, there was a 2 finger gap to the fender...spacers will eliminate/minimize this. You can just throw spacers on there or camber arms to bring it closer to the fender, but with 275s youre more likely to rub with a square (unstretched) tire.

Yes you could use spacers to make up the difference with spacers after going skinnier. TBH though, if I left the 275s on there, and just installed my camber arms, and cambered it out...it would be flush...not flush like it is now, but the tire would be kinda flush

Here you go Benzokirk

Rear shot with the stance shown. Doesn't look too bad IMO.

Also spaced out the fronts a bit more...

Went to a meet yesterday and one guy asked me how I bagged my car. lol.

Kirk I would recommend not going any skinnier than stock tire width. I just noticed that you have an E55. If I were you, I would get my ride height down first, then rear camber arms, alignment, then measure for spacers. You can fine tune the closeness of the tire to the fender with the camber arms.

Update.

Havent posted pics of the leather interior wrapped parts because the upholstery shop I was going to use just sat on the parts for over a month...yes...over a month. I picked up the parts last week and im currently going to look for another shop to do it. Needless to say, im quite irritated.

Im currently also having flickering and shutoff issues with one of my headlamps. The control unit is original from like 1997 so im pretty sure its at the end of its life. Will be buying a new replacement soon. Brabus rear brakes are still in progress too...been kinda lagging because im buying a new home...so that pretty much comes first lol.

Updates

Moved in and furnished my home so been kinda low on funds for the past few months lol.

Got more brabus goodies and did some leather wrapping. Right now only kick panels are done in parchment leather. Pics to follow later of that project.

New mods Brabus pedals and Brabus doorsills.

Don't mind the protein shaker, I was going to the gym that day.

Car is pretty dusty, only been driving it like once a month for a short cruise down the Waikiki strip. I don't attend meets here anymore because the Hawaii crowd doesn't really care for benzes.

I ended up buying 25mm eibach hubcentric front spacers. Fits like a glove.
