m104 w210 Misfire

So i was driving my w210 on a cold morning just about to do a 700km trip, and the car started to misfire. Along with the misfire the exhaust temperature light came on. I got out of the car and the exhaust smealt like rotten eggs.

I drove the car for about another 1km..and all the problems went away, so i carried on with the trip..arrived at my destination without any problems or warning lights..drove around in the city and travelled back without any problems.

Does anybody know what any of this is about?

I still don't know what you're talking about. I have a 97 E320 with m104 engine and it doesn't have anything like that.

It's a warning similar to the defective lamp exept it comes up with exhaust temperature in red...it happens in the cold sometimes, but this time the engine started to misfire and then ran fine again about 10 minutes later.
