What are the differences in he quarter panels between pre and facelift models? I know the tail lamp mounts are different, but that can be modified. I was told (by a parts supplier) that the deck lids and quarter panels are different, and won't interchange. Has anyone done this, and what problems occurred, and what solutions were used? Thanks in advance for info.

It's a '97 E320, my wife pranged the left rear in an icy spin out crash, ugly, but not too bad.
