RennTech Burl Walnut interior door pulls installed this past weekend...

The process of removing each of the door cards wasn't that bad once I had the removal tool.

TOOLS NEEDED:

T25 Torx screwdriver
Plastic Removal tool
Phillips screwdriver
Glue gun (to reglue fasteners that may have come undone during the removal process)

TIME REQUIRED:

The first door will take 30 to 45 minutes if it has been a while. Subsequent doors will take considerably less, i.e. 15 to 20 minutes.

Fasteners around the perimeter of the door card may come undone simply due to the age of the glue.

Comparison of OEM door pull versus Renntech door pull.

Closeup of door pull.

Two Torx screws that are needed to be undone to free the door pull.

The last Torx screw to be undone.

Door without the card installed.

Finished product installed.

I bought these from eBay and he had a second set of Birdseye Maple, so I bought those too just in case I bought a W210 with that grain.

There's still a few sets available, so buy what you can! Retail on these were ridiculous. I'm just glad that I was able to pick them up for a fraction of the initial cost.

I forgot to mention the fact that it adds a nice feel to the door. Plus, with replacing the shift knob with a burl walnut shift knob and the leather steering wheel replaced with a burl walnut steering wheel add a premium feel to the interior.

He only has the black birds eye handles left. Because I just bought his last set of burl wood handles. Can't wait to get them installed. Other then the three torx screws are there any other fasteners/ tabs that I need to know about for removing the door pull once the door card has been removed?

I also purchased a set of burl handles from him, they look and feel great.
