Missing brake parts (210.083)

I was inspecting brake parts lastnight, and I noticed that I am missing the entire pad sensor assembly from my drivers rear brake. The sensor, the peice that the sensor plugs into (bolted to calliper) along with the cable to runs along side the ABS cable to underneath the plastic cover. I haven't removed the cover to see what remains, but are these parts available from the dealership?

The 210 was not equipped with a pad wear sensor on the driver's side rear caliper. Only the passenger side rear has the sensor.

That is a gross misrepresentation of the facts---once again you have the BW mumbo jumbo-----to do it correctly you do it by VIN or complete model number, and refer to the WIS docs---as an example the 210.025 has the driver and passenger side wear sensor!!

PS:If you don't know---simply say--I saw it posted at BW---then we will all know the information is questionable and look for the correct answer!!

The WIS answer is that on a W210.083 you have ware sensors on the front R and L pad----there are no wear sensors on the rear pads--this assumes the OP has correctly identified his car as a W210.083 non E43 or E55AMG!!

Now if he wants to put wear sensors on the rear pads he may do so--- simply visit BW and they will dream up a DIY on the subject!!

I know my car, 210.083. E430 4matic. There's all the sensor parts on rear right, none on rear left. The clips that would have held a cable are there, the threaded hole in the caliper is there, the bracket, sensor and cable are not. It doesn't take a VIN to figure out what car this is. The inherent logic displayed in Mercedes engineering doesn't fit with "not equipped on the left side"

Can't depend on VIN # especially in brake components..!,

I had pad sensor at the Rear left side, in my previous W202 C43 & W210 E60, that depend of spec. of the car & country,

you can see threaded (M6 or M8) hole on the Front & Rear calipers,,

but that doesn't mean pad wear cable been there..!

Yeah, I had to see for myself. One sensor on rear passengers side. That all.

But why the squabbling?

Unoccupied calliper

Unoccupied cable clips

Second grommet nipple unused.

Nah, I was gonna check it anyway regardless of the wishywasy info. Lol. Discovered where the fuel filter and pump are! Don't forget I'm still in discovery mode with this car, only had it for a month and a half. Fixed my fog lamps while I was underneath (have a lift at work)
