New Transmission Mount Question

Hey everyone - new here, but long-time w211 owner (it's been in the family since 2005). At 374,000 miles, my 2004 E320 developed a harsh shudder under acceleration in 1st - 3rd gear as the RPMs increased. Upon inspection, the transmission mount was pretty shot (flex discs looked good).

Anyway, I ordered a replacement from FCP Euro. It arrived and looked normal but I noticed upon closer inspection the rubber around the lower half was torn. I am simply wondering if this is normal or a defective part - FCP says it's normal, as confirmed through their parts warehouse. Pictures attached - is it normal and good to be installed?

Thanks in advance!

- Jordan

if you cant confirm that your part is an OEM part then go look at an OEM part-----is there a difference and if so are you concerned

I'm not concerned about the part being OEM - I'm asking about the condition of the rubber, as stated in the original post.

I am not concerned about that area. You will notice the rubber is paper thin in that area. If you look at the photo of the OEM mount at ECSTuning website, it shows the exact same gap in the rubber.

My gut feeling says that a new trans mount won't help with the shudder. But I hope you prove me wrong.
