it is apparantly normal noise of valves inside the airmatic strut. The bulletin is
P-B-32.22/48

Thia may sound dumb - but is there anyway that the noise could be coming from the spare tire in the trunk ???

It may also be the rear headrests. I noticed when you release them from the up position, they make an obvious bump sound when they hit. Maybe going over speed bumps creates some lift on the headrests and they make a slight sound. How fast are you going over the bumps? Maybe try having someone in the back hold the headrest down, or at least sit back there to hear where the noise originates. Thoughts?

it could also be that cover on top of the spare. if you ahve nothing in your trunk, theres nothing stopping the main cover from lifting up and closing after going over a bump.

Normally the smell of the dead body in the trunk bothers me more than the noise....

. We just ignore the little car in the FSS with the arrow on the bottom as it levels right out when we start up . However when we take it to the dealer, I always get "could not duplicate problem" and the little car with the arrow under it in the FSS doesn't show up until I drive it home . Normally on the way home it reappears. So Guess I will ignore it until the read doesn't level,, then call the tow truck, and have it warranty repaired. If there were a body in the trunk they might find it.
