W211 E200 CDI Limp mode please help???

Hi we have a Mercedes E200 Cdi W211 from 2005 with this problem that start irritating me...
When i bought the car the previuos owner told me that the turbo needed to be replaced because the car went into limp mode so i went to the dealer to make a diagnostic. This error code came up 2510-001 and the mechanic told me that the electric box on the turbo was broken and i should buy a complete new turbo because the box was not sold separatly.
So i bought a new turbo from Germany with this OE number: 6460901080.
After the turbo replaced the same problem was still there and the car went again in limp mode with the same error code???
Someone told me to check the intake manifold for bent or broken valves but we checked it and everything is ok with the manifold. The servo motor on the intake manifold is also working fine.
Today we took the catalysator out just after the turbo to give it a good clean but still the same problem...
Can someone please help me with this very annoying problem???

Esco54.

PS: Sorry for my bad language because i live in Belgium

I had a similar problem with my '03 E320. It would go into limp home mode if I attempted full throttle but reset if I stopped and restarted the engine. The sensor in the accelerator pedal assembly was faulty. Once the accelerator assembly was replaced, the problem was fixed.

The servo motor controls the EGR function right? I've found on mine that the EGR valve sticking caused the limp mode issue (goes into limp mode, shut it down for a bit restart and all is fine). I never replaced mine just started giving it a WoT treatment here and there to keep things cleaned out.

However, I only once had a CEL and it was only temporary and cycled out before I felt like getting it read.

If that is your issue a search on this forum will pull up a lot of info.

2010 Mercedes C350CDi Elegance - black with almond beige leather / 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1
2010 C350CDi - Limp Home Mode

My 2010 C350CDI Elegance keeps going into limp home mode, usually within a mile of starting from cold. Dealer says "computer says no fault code, so no problem"! Oh for the days when you actually had genuine mechanics willing to actually tackle a problem working on your car!

First and last diesel and furst and last Mercedes!

It is unfortunate that you faced the fault on a new car but are you sure the workshop would be better if you had another brand car? I would change to a different MB workshop if you have one at decent distance (in Europe we have several to choose from).

I find it hard to believe there is no stored code if the car enters limp home mode.
