Yeah he responded.

This is the dock.

I know the computer will not play music, but device manager should see a device connected, even if its unknown device, or PC should say that it cant install the device, but I get nothing....

Yeah, that is the old retrofit kit (see top of screen) - it is actually made by Dension.

I can't speak to Windows device managers (as that is not really part of what is going on anyhow) - as I am a Mac user - so ya got me there. Scott asked that all future communication be handled through him via the email he sent, as it may create a split in support - I have gone as far as I can. He is the product developer, and is fully equipped to aid you. I will email you too when a resolution is found.

As a note that could be part of the confusion, there was not a factory iPod dock option in a 2005 BMW. It must have an aftermarket unit in it. I do a lot of work personally with BMW and know the system very well. If we can find out what it has in it, that may give us a solution.

Yeah speaking will communicate with him. Just so you know I tried in my MAC as well and it doesnt show up in USB devices eather....

I am a Mac programmer, and it should not show up as a USB device on a Mac. That would be normal.

Ok if you say so...

Im researching the Dock in my friends car and it looks like its BMW part 65410411033 I guess it could be a dension manufacture but based on what I`m seeing its not, its a BMW part.

Will wait for Scott to reply

Well Scott and all the other guys are very nice and tried to help, but I cant get it to work in my car with current cable, tried the dock and still no go, the cable that is needed is 82$ and I`m not going to pay that, just for a cable. So looks like I`ll be going back to the MIP and sending back this Anystreams !!!! IT was a great idea and made so much sense, too bad that MB cant follow standards and certifications...

Thanks for the words Stephen, like I said, don't (or maybe you SHOULD!!!) buy any lottery tickets. You have one of those rare situations... sorry it did not work out. But pleased my company offers the 100% money back guarantee for these types of situations. I will watch for them in the mail!
