Just got a Pedalbox on My E55
Hey guys. I just want to share my experience with the PedalBox. It's a throttle controller that just came to the US.
Background Info: I already have a Eurocharged tune, Redtooth Pulley, heat exchanger, and a heat exchanger pump installed as well as a few other goodies waiting to be installed. The only thing I didn't previously like about my car was the throttle response. Is it just me or does the gas pedal feel sluggish? I have heard of the Pedalbox, and when it came to The US I had to get it just to give it a shot.
Ordered.
I ordered from TWM Performance and got it about a week and a half later. The install took like 10 minutes but I know next time I install it, it will take 5 minutes or less. All I can say is WOW. I knew it was going to be an awesome mod based on what others said, but I think I found my new FAVORITE MOD! It makes the gas pedal feel so much nicer, but it also makes the transmission shift differently (more aggressively) for some reason unbeknownst to me. It has three different modes: sport, sport+, and eco. I keep it in sport mode usually, but put it on sport+ when I feel like driving like a loonie. I even think the Pedalbox makes my car faster even though they don't advertise horsepower gains.

It's priced at 299 and has free shipping, but they gave me a discount code to use also when I emailed them. So I got a deal on it.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Just installed and went for a drive.
Sport (Setting 1) removed the LAG / Randomness of the throttle and made response slightly more responsive and much more linear
Sport + (Setting 2) made throttle much more responsive and still linear.
Stock seems to randomize the throttle. Your foot has to hunt around for the correct pressure which leads to the rubber band effect. ESPECIALLY on modified cars. With a bigger pulley, the "jerkiness / randomness" of the pedal is very annoying and probably what I disliked most about the car
Driving normal, most cars would leave the line more fluidly. Sure, you could punch it.. and beat just about anyone off the line, but it was an effort.. Car wants to go, no wait, I want to hold up a sec, oh, now I want to go
20%, 10%, 25%, 20% 30% (Rubber Band)
Now: 20% - 30% - 40% Press more, go faster
Does it make car faster?: Nope
Does it make car more enjoyable to drive? Yes
Does it improve driveability: Yes
Is is worth $289? YES!

This looks very similar: http://www.pedalcommander.com
Has exactly the same settings, and made in Germany. Anyone heard of this one?
