This is a pretty good price, as I ordered the parts and did my own and know.
BTW, the housings will be a gimmie because yours (already painted) will work just fine.
You need a special tool (security TORX) for this job.
Plus you're going to need the switch to operate them.

Yep, it's all plug and play. The switch is a direct replacement and the wiring is all there. The switch looks a tiny bit different but it's dimensions are identical to the one you'd be popping out.

They are aftermarket, but honestly, you cannot tell the difference.
The mirrors are not original. As far as the auto-dimming, to be honest I am not sure. I would assume it does, but we have not had the opportunity to test if it does have the dimming. If you guys receive the mirrors and you are not happy, you can return them for a refund.
Also, our glass is almost like the convex mirrors, about 1.5 inches of the glass has a different "perspective" for blind-spots and such.
Thanks a lot for your insight lkchris and Benz-O-Rama
I'll take some pictures of the plugs and some close ups of the mirrors and post them soon.

lkchris, have you seen dealer prices for an OEM replacement?
Even if you don't need a replacement, $550 SHIPPED for BOTH COMPLETE FOLDING assemblies seems like a fair price to upgrade to folding mirrors. Just the HOUSING costs $172 at the dealer, and that does not include the mirror/motor and what not. Anyway, thank you for expressing your opinion...

sold - w211 e320, f250, rx7 race car
That's what I thought when I bought mine, only to later find out early build 2003 models did not have that ability in the instrument cluster. I have a 1/03 build and would not have bought folding mirrors had I known I could not auto fold. I do have the auto fold manual switch but never use it. If I ever get bored I should switch back to my stock mirrors and switch and sell mine. I do have the OEM ones, not aftermarket.

The Door panel MUST be removed to change out the switch...
No Wiring changes just replace the switch
