AMG rims for '03 E500
I am in need of a fresh set of rubber for my E500, and I have stock rims.
Have on now : "Almach" 8 J x 17 ET 38 · 245/45 R17
But I also have a set of 4 AMG rims....
" Style IV "
AMG twin-spoke wheel
8 J x 18 ET 30 · 245/40 R18
B6 603 1300
Do you think putting on these 4 AMG rims ( they are all the same size, not staggered) would be a good idea?
My main concern is that they are 18" instead of 17" so I would hate for this to interfere with the Airmatic (wheel clearance) and possible cause tires to rub the wheel well either while driving or if sitting for a few days (since the rear sags down a little if left a few days).
let me know your $0.02

If you're ride height has not been modified then 18" wheels will fit without any rubbing issues. Even if your suspension sags from the car sitting, it should adjust back to the normal ride height once you start driving it so that shouldn't be an issue. Also, driving it with a square setup is not going to have any adverse effects whatsoever.
