What kind of floor mats/carpet should I get?
Just bought a car and it needs floor mats/carpet. What comes OEM with the car? Rubber or carpet? Not sure if I want OEM or just get some rubber floor mats for my car. Also, I would want them to match nicely. Any suggestions?

I bought OEM all-weather floor mats. Color was grey to match car's interior. A week later I took it in to get some work done at an INDY. And sadly his shoes were not the cleanest, so he left some evidence on the mats. I tried cleaning them up, but it still shows. In retrospect, I should have had black color mats.
As to carpet type mats, I think they could be nice if you have little moisture/rain/snow and you are on top of them vacuuming them on a regular basis. You being in PA, you will need to work a little harder on that

The Weathertech ones came with my car. They're decent, keeps the car clean. I'd prefer mats though. I saw a set on Craigslist, somewhat tempted to get them and put them in once this winter is over. I think they were carpet and had the MB logo on them.

The carpet ones come with the car, and it was all I ever used in my W211. (Grey interior hides a lot). They certainly got nasty in winter, but always cleaned up nicely. I'd get a set of these (even if used) for spring, summer, and fall.
My W212 has black carpet, and a little salt shows immediately so I got the Benz all-season mats, which were like $110 for a set of 4 at the dealer (in stock). Weather-tech liners are nice and offer more side protection, but I never spill (don't drink in the car), so the added protection isn't a selling point (I think they cost more, I didn't want to order/wait, and I like having Mercedes branded accessories)
