Service Brake Warning Display

I know that this has been discussed before, but I wasnt able to find the correct answer. On my 2004 E320, I had the "Service Brake Visit Workshop" display error and noticed my rear pads were almost gone. i replaced the rear brake pads and got new brake sensors. However, the service brake display is still on. Do I need to reset the SBC? Need a diagnostic tool? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Generic message might have several sources.
Are you saying front pads are still good.
If pads are good, you need to read the error with SD.

Definitive diagnose pull codes with MB SDS.

If steadfast on replacing parts before doing so some members cleared warning by replacing the brake light switch https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...-easy-diy.html

However, if SBC hydraulic unit has not been replaced common scenario SBC hydraulic unit reached its operating limit and needs replacement confirmed by SDS. IMHO replace rather than reset but I’m sure others will offer their opinions.

MB extended SBC warranty to 10 years/unlimited mileage but unfortunately you are past expiration, DIY https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...pump-w211.html

I actually just got the car back. It had two error codes: c25d2 and c2131. Basically, the pressure reservoir of the SBC was faulty. I went ahead and got the entire SBC replaced as there wasn't much price difference. Damn SBC.

How much did that set you back? the reservoir is around $190 online.
