Steering wheel stiff/hard on right turning, easy on left ?!

Strange problem with w211, e320cdi, '04, steering wheel, hydraulic.
When turn wheel to right it's very hard/stiff. It's like there is not working hyrdaulic system, but when turning to left it's OK, like it is in normal mode.

Do you have any suggestion what to check ?

How does it feel when the front wheels are off the ground?
How does it feel when you turn the front wheels via the wheels (not the steering wheel)?
How about when the car is running/not running?

The problem is when the speed is slower than 10/15 km/h. When speed is higher, the is no problem.
For other two questions, i don't know right now.

Any idea?

Either your rack or pump are toast and you need those evaluated

You can also use a quick ratio CLS rack if you want faster steering.

DI'd you get a new rack or a part for the rack for $150.. I want to know if I have to get a complete rack or just a part for my rack. And the name of the part and number?

I'm not sure what part you're talking about.

I swapped the rack pn 2194601000. It wasn't new, it was used with about 100k fewer miles than my old one. Ratio changed from 16.2:1 to 14.7:1.

OKAY . I GET IT. Thanks. You got a Used rack and surrendered yours from your car as salvage value. No problem. My car is RH Drive so I have one line up to get from London but I wanted to see if it was possible for a small part to repair mine. The one from London is about 1153.00 pounds stirling. Thanks for your posts. Kk.

You can get a whole RHD CLS rack for £98 shipped.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-...Condition=3000
2194601100 is the RHD equivalent of the LHD 2194601000 quick ratio rack. You can get a refurbished one for £245.

No I didn't surrender my old one, I kept it for spares just in case. Although at 188k miles it's probably worthless.

OK. I Thank you a lot for trying to help me. Sounds a great deal. My car is a tad old at 17 years but Its low milage so I wanted to work with it especially in this C19 pandemic cash sticky times. So I be glad if I can get a Used part for under 300 pounds. My problem is that I and the car are in Barbados so the part has to be imported. CLS rack is uncertainty for me cos my car is an 2004 E320 ELEGANCE The chassis number is WDB2110652A393617 and I am told that the correct Steering Rack for it is part# MA211 460 21 00/80.. If the CLS rack is the same or is the same gear ratio setup and point and length in inches or mm I would gladly take a chance if you would kindly tell me where and who to contact to purchase it for Under 300 pounds. I have a London family address that would post it out to Barbados if the supplier won't be able to send it to me. THANKS in advance for any further help you can give me and my old Mercedes Benz. Thanks.
Gregory.
