air suspension rough
I replaced one of the air suspension on the E500 which was bad and the car was very low to the ground. Now the car has risen but does not feel as comfortable as it should for air suspension cars. I hear the pump once in a while. what else do I need to look for for better ride??
Thank you
Thank you

Did you install MB or Arnott bag?

Replace Rear E-Class Air Springs in Pairs
If it was the rear air spring you replaced with an Arnott brand air spring you will need to replace the other one too. The Arnott designed air spring does not use a separate air canister which the OE does. It is designed with a longer piston and larger air bag to compensate for the lack of canister. But you have to replace both since the air suspension system will be confused with two different bags (and pressures). We do it this way because it GREATLY reduces installation time. While the OE (which they also say must be replaced in pairs) can take 8 hours - the Arnott version is 94% faster since you don't have to lower the rear end to get to the canister.

Now I am confused.
We do have forum member, who takes credit for informing Arnott that there is no need for old canister removal as original Atnott manual called for 8 hr replacement job?

old canister removal is simple. Just cut hose connecting the two and remove bolts holding canister to subframe. Job states 7-10hr because technically rear subframe is suppose to be removed but work smart not hard is my theory. Arnott doug, i learned something new. never thought airmatic or ADS would be confused based on different values and larger piston compensation. Very interesting.

I bought 2 rear air springs Arnott but re[laced only the driver side and since the car rose ok, I thought there is no need to replace the other side. I am a littlle handy and took me less than 2 hours to replace the one spring, now I know, it would not take me more than an hour to replace the other side since I have learned tricks to replace the first.
Thanks to you all and I will let you know the results when done with the other side

Any reason the instructions say the arrnot springs can only be inflated if you have STAR? Its at the bottom of the instructions.

Occasionally it is not needed but typically the MB Star Diagnosis tool is needed to enable the solenoid to allow air. There are other options also such as from Autel. Call Arnott tech support at 800-251-8993 (321-868-3016) for more information.

Would it be OK to leave the hoses of the canisters just dangling. I have replaced both air springs and left the hoses dangling close to the spring. The car is running much better now but I still hear the pump every once in a while and the cluster shows to visit work shop. Can the little piece on the end of the voss fitting be causing this because i damaged it a little bit? Where are they connected on the other side and is it easy to get to??/
