Any dent removal advice for my car with 30 miles on it!!!
Hi guys,
Took delivery of my 12' E last weekend. Drove home from the dealership and locally on Sunday, haven't touched the car since. Walking past it yesterday I notice a 1.5" to 2" crease in my rear bumper, which I know was not there when I parked on Sunday. Don't care how it happened at this point just want it fixed. No paint is missing and there is no scratch, but it is definitely noticeable when the light hits at certain angles, might as well have a laser beam attached to it cause its all I see when I look at the car now lol. Anybody have any tips on how to fix dings like this when no paint is missing. Looking for a solution that's as easily as possible because the thought of me taking it to a collision shop before I even got to really drive it is making my blood boil!!!

Sorry to hear about your bumper.
It's funny modern cars' bumpers aren't made to withstand even the slightest bump. I remember the old Mercedes S class has these metal bumpers you can use to push other cars with.

I got a door ding in mine when it was about two weeks old. Right in the middle of the passenger side rear door. I called my dealer and they said they have a great"dent guy". I took my car in, and, two hours and $75 dollars later I cannot tell where the dent was. I would start with an inquiry to your dealer. They get a lot of goofy dings on the lots.

I'll try and get a pic when the sun finally comes back out. Might be a little hard to make out in pictures, as it is really noticeable when the light hits in it person. Sorry to hear about your bumper man. If that's what I'm forced to do also I'll wait a little longer until the mean streets of NYC have their way with her and I at least get my moneys worth. I'm just a little weary about replacing the back bumper because from that I understand the wiring for the Blind Spot Monitor runs through there so I'll only trust the dealership to do it.
But that's life I guess!

As OP says, the dent is on the bumper...its polyurethane...so no way for paintless dent guys to do their magic here.
Without seeing the actual damage area, you might be able to use a heat gun...and gently massage it back in place. If not, then you probably need to take it to a body shop...bondo and re-paint the bumper.
Good luck bro.

Well, honestly they do look nicer than dull plastic bumper covers as well
Sorry to what happened to OP's car and jvc's brilliant beauty .However, I presumed polyurethane was a resillient item for such little things

Here is a pic of the rear bumper and the offending vehicle that rudely invaded my space... yes, it was a 1931 ford that hit me...

If haven't already, call the dealer for a dent repair guy. Have a friend who drives Acuras and his dealer has a guy that comes in to do minor repairs. Can't tell where damage was. Also, my M-B dealer has a guy come in once a week to do repairs and touch ups.
My experience with body shops is they want to replace the part right off the bat. More profit for them.
Sorry to hear about this. I am very careful as to where I park my car in parking lots. Besides walking is good for you.
Few months ago, I was in lot at a grocrery store. Some lazy person had pushed cart up against a light pole instead of pushing it 20 feet to cart parking area. While I was watching, the wind grabbed the cart and rammed it into the front of a car 30 feet away. Sucker was really travelling when it hit.
