There are some good deals out there but be prepared to put a HUGE down payment down if you want it cheap. Also 15k miles a year is a lot for a Mercedes lease normally its 10k so you will need even more money down to make the lease cheap. Good luck! You will love the e350!

I put $1400 down, 15k miles per year, $520 per month excluding 9% PA tax. 2015 e350 $63.2 Msrp. Included AICPA program discount.

A 2015 e350.

I did the same thing on a 2013 24 months ago!!

Unhappy Seeking opinion on my Lease Terms

So I have leased a 2014 E350 back in 09/2013 and I'd like to share my experience. I ordered this car with the all the options that I wanted, put $2,000 down that day to order it. The car arrived and it had a sticker price at just over $66,000 MSRP. The salesman I had told me that was what I needed to pay in order for my 4 year old company to lease the vehicle. My brand new beautiful car was parked just within eyesight of the sale mans desk, so in a moment of lust/lack of wisdom, I gave in and did not ask or demand any kind of a deal.
Mistake #1

So then comes the the part I am wanting to know your opinions on:
In the F&I department, the guy could probably tell I was going to go for whatever he put in front of me. I signed a 27 month lease, 27k miles total allowance, and my payments are $1093 a month. When I saw the payment number I felt like it was way wrong, but my ego and pride got the best of me, so I just acted like that didnt bother me. Mistake #2

Truth be told, it's still quite a lot of money to me, and I dont know if I want to purchase this car at the end of my lease, and possibly make mistake #3. I have spent a lot of money so far, and altogether I will have spent over $30k to drive this car. The worst part is that I only have put 6,500 miles on the car and i turn it in in december

How bad of a deal did I get at the dealership? I know they made a ton of money on me, and I dont want to go in deeper if there are better deals somewhere else. What advice can you give a person who can't say No to such a beautiful car??
Thanks in advance

Everyone's deal is different. I think I got a decent, not great but decent deal. 2015 E350 Sport, MSRP 65k, 2k down for driveoffs, 36 months at 15k miles per year = 662.00/month including tax. Residual = 34,000.

Lunar - My opinion is to not ask for an opinion on your deal from the past. It is "History" now... No matter. While your deal is not good in "today's terms," it was at a time when the new facelift just came out. So you pay a premium to get the newest look!

P.S. You would be amazed at the "deal" you can get if you simply walk out of the dealership. You can do it politely, but just simply leave. "I want to think about it." They will call you back continuously, each time sweetening the deal. The last thing a dealership wants to you to do is "walk out" when a fish is on the line.

Someone on this site said that a polite person allows a dealership to earn a reasonable profit. I almost fainted when I read that! No one here REALLY know s how much money a dealership is making, or the many different ways that they do it. And they are not volunteering any information to you. Look out for you and your family first! Just as the dealerships do...

If this deal was 6 months ago, then a fine deal!

If this deal was yesterday, then it is ok with 15k miles. Note that a 27 month lease would have lowered your payment by maybe $30 per month. But maybe that term did not work for you....

This month some dealers are aggressive so aim for $12k off MSRP if you are in a competitive market.

If you know you will be going over 15k/year then I do highly suggest you to look at BMW as their penalty for over mileage is only 16 cents/mi (20% off 20 cents/mi) if you prepaid it few months before lease end.

Lunar - Thanks for the introspection and honesty. Very few of us are truly expert negotiators, despite what we may think otherwise. Ha! Your post is a sobering reminder of what is at stake.

Over the years, some of the "deals" that I've read about are so unbelievably amazing that they're down right hard to believe. I figure those that are too good to be true probably are...

Those mystical deals happen often here in Southern California when you have a MB Center every 5-10 miles from each other.

Key thing is to go in prepared and act as if you can take it or leave or even buy another vehicle from another brand.

Make sure you take in vehicle pricing (Invoice & MSRP) with the options you want or based on a vehicle they have on the lot that you're interested in. Also have calculations with you so when they give you the money factor you can calculate the interest rate. Also, one can buy a kit from Lease guide (http://www.leaseguide.com/) that lets you plug in all the info (money factor, residual, sale price etc.) and you can see if the numbers the dealer is quoting you add up. If they don't ask the dealer to explain the difference.

All these things will contribute to you knowing what you're getting into and will prevent the dealer from ripping you off. Remember, ultimately you have the power by simply walking out if you don't like the deal or their deal isn't adding up.

Another note. Dealers are primary blowing out the 2015 models as 2016 models are being unloaded from the trucks.

You can pretty much expect the 2015 residuals to take a hit after this month.

Agreed but that can be offset by a deeper discount up front. Leasing, unless the discount is very good I'd rather go with a 2016 unless something one wanted is discontinued in the 2016.

Fantastic deal

Hello,

I read the lease you got for your Mercedes E350.
Would you mind telling me which dealership as I am looking for a very similar deal.

If I lease my vehicle from a dealership in West Coast or East Coast and have it shipped to Houston, TX - do you think its worth it?

Thanks

Texas upfront tax usually kills the deal.
You might have some luck in doing lease takeover here in CA.
