Servicing Costs

What's the general cost of the first service at around 15000 miles for a W213 220d(in the U.K.)? Is an independent Mercedes dealer much cheaper than a main dealer? Any good or bad experiences to watch for?

Could still be the best forum for you. A lot more W213 owners here, sharing their experience. You get much more information from the US about the most expensive MB models, less about diesels and small cars.

Service costs however may be very location dependent.

I've just rung round local dealers and first service without courtesy car or pick up is just over £300 (add £30 for pick up or car). That's bloody insane for what is only an oil and filter change (so maybe £70 parts). My w212 first service was under £200 and the second was still only high £200s including brake fluid change. No idea why the w213 prices have skyrocketed.
