However, 'The Arnott Advantage' does not stop there ... Arnott offers an impressive array of additional, innovative new and remanufactured aftermarket replacement parts for the Mercedes-Benz. I have the front set of your older design arnott airshocks with the full continental truck style airbag on the strut. And the newer rear air bags with the anodised bottoms.
Is there any chance of you guys doing a further performance orientated upgrade and include the rear shocks not just the front and rear airbags?
I would like to see something further performance orientated that we can upgrade to. Perhaps a firmer airbags (on the sport2 setting) and better valved shocks allround?
I for one am very happy with your product just thought I would ask. I have been able to get around the moderate sport2 factory airbag setting (lack of spring rate) by modifying the front sway bar stiffer which has worked very well and cured other problems like body roll...

I normally don't post much, but I just want to give a shoutout to Arnott and Robert who handled my call.
A week ago, I've been noticing my car squatting on the ground after parking for 36-48 hours. Having owned my trusty 2004 E55 since new, I knew exactly what the problem is. After all, I've already replaced both front airmatic shocks in 2009. So, this is not new to me.
I remember Arnott has a limited lifetime warranty. So I dug up my receipt and called Arnott. Let me tell you, these guys are amazing. I would not say it was no questions asked policy. After all, they did ask for my name and phone number. Seriously, it could not be easier to claim for warranty. They give you two options to handle the warranty. You can remove the defective shocks and ship it back to them. After they receive it, they will send you the replacements. Option two is to prepay for the set for immediate shipment and they will refund you the full amount when they receive the shocks. I opted for option two.
At this time and age, it's becoming more difficult to find company who will back up their lifetime warranties as well as Arnott. I'm glad I took a chance and used their product back in 2009 instead of the OEM shocks.
Bravo Arnott.

Hey doug, I am based in Australia, can I do the online order and get the discount or do I have to tell Vanessa to take off the discount? I only have an issue with the right front, but will change the left too. Disappointingly I have only done 67,000kms. Do you think I should do the rears as a precaution or just wait til it packs it in?

You can use the discount code online at Arnottinc.com and it will automatically be taken off during checkout. 67k isn't much - I would hope the rears would give you more time.

Hey Doug
If I buy all the parts for my E55, ie front 2 shocks, 2 rear air, and compressor can you give me a better discount sicne I am buying the entire package, instead of just $75? Its just that with the exchange rate of the low Aussie dollar, it pushes up the price 25%.

We have created a new value kit which includes Arnott designed new front struts, rear air springs (does not require removal or replacement of solenoid) and a new OES air suspension compressor.
https://www.arnottindustries.com/par...4_gid1239.html
This kits saves you close to $200 off retail and you can use the MBSAVE10 Coupon Code with it to save an additional $75. Continental USA customers can also get an additional $150 cash-back rebate when they return both cores back to Arnott using the included shipping labels (rebate offer subject to change).

^that's exactly what I did for my E55 a few months ago except not in kit form as it wasn't available that way at the time. My OEM front right strut failed and the compressor wore out trying repeatedly to fill the strut while I limped it home. I purchased a new OEM compressor and all 4 corners of the Airmatic from Arnott and the car now handles better than new.
Jackblack- I probably won't have the write-up on the install I've been working on done before youre ready to get working but I've got a few tips on install that might help you out, PM me when you get your parts.

I did new Arnotts at all 4 corners this summer!
I've been wanting to ask...Is it possible to get 'Comfort Mode' back in the suspension!...let me explain.
After the install all corners are now firm...Comfort is at least a Sport 1. While this is fine some of the time, on long 8 hour cruises, I begin to miss Comfort Mode. I have yet to try Sport 1 or Sport 2.
Does anyone know if I can make adjustments through STAR DAS to soften the ride?

We have both Arnott designed New Front Struts and Arnott Remanufactured OE Struts. The difference is in the age of the internal shock which is unknown with the reman (but we do test, clean, repaint and recharge them) vs. the Arnott new ones which have brand new shocks but do not support the OE Shock's auto damping feature. We valve them to ride as close as possible to the OE and have heard great comments about the ride. None of them are currently stocked in the Canadian Warehouse but we can ship them from the Florida factory. Our Canadian Site and Options are here: http://arnottcanada.com/mercedesbenz...-products.aspx
