G 550 Pricing
What is considered good pricing on a new '16 G550? I've been offered $94,550 for a vehicle with a MSRP of $125,450. Just curious about what might be out there. Thanks.

Agreed - amazing deal. So much that if they have two on the lot PM me and I'll take the other one. (Even if it's black )

It's about a month since I started this thread inquiring about pricing on the G. Took delivery last week at the price I mentioned. Thank you all for the input regarding pricing. It was a leap for me to make this purchase. I have owned many (too many) cars but this purchase required some soul searching. Now that I have it and have put a few hundred miles on the car I am delighted with my choice. This is definitely not a vehicle for everyone. It has it's idiosyncrasies and downright dated configuration. But that is part of the attraction for me.
Mine is a G550 with Designo leather and alcantara headliner. I am considering adding the AMG side outlet exhaust. Has anyone done this conversion. I did see aftermarket chrome tips with an extension pipes on EBay but it appears it might eliminate the rear mufflers. Don't want to do that. I'll get some input from the dealer but I know that is going to be expensive.
One of the hurdles I had to get over was the price compared to other MB models. My S Class listed for about the same price. The G has Less technology, harder ride, lousy gas mileage, etc but I still don't think they are comparable. Each model is what it is.
Thanks again for your feedback on the pricing. So far the G is a hoot.

What color interior / exterior did you end up with?
Anyway, congratulations. Based on your comments, I think you're really going to enjoy it.

The colors are black on black. I did realize that this was a great deal and one of the motivating factors in my decision. I researched the G for a long time and based on feedback on pricing never was able to even come close to what I considered a "good" deal. I even started looking for low mileage used units but that proved frustrating at best. These things hold their value, especially in the first two years. Perhaps the reluctance of most dealers to discount the purchase price drives up the price of used units. The G is also a limited production model compared to some of the other models in the Mercedes line.
I think my long standing relationship with the dealership over many years and many cars may have influenced the price reduction. They did have three other new units in stock when I made the purchase. Mine was listed as an "executive car" but I know it was driven by the owners wife, who lives in my neighborhood, for less than 2K miles.
