Just bought a 2010 GL350

Two Benzs' in two weeks !!!

Two weeks ago I bought an SL55 AMG for my wife and fell in love with the brand so much that I bought a GL 350 today to replace my Hummer H2.

Black with black leather, Premium 1 package, CPO, mint!

I've been reading the GL threads for a few days learning about the Blue juice and DIY options for it. Making sure I leave the dealer with a full tank of it as well.

No doubt more questions will arise! My first goal is to find a full cargo liner for the rear that protects up the sides as well since I will use the cargo bay on a very regular basis.

Very nice! Congrats! Be sure to post pictures!

Bought your wife an AMG SL huh? Lucky gal. Shouldn't it be you the one with the SL AMG and not the GL?

Indeed I should be! I drove her car most of last week getting all the title / reg work done, plus new tires and didn't want to give it back!

I work in film and television as a Steadicam Operator and travel back and forth to LA a lot so the GL cargo space is what I need for gear. Plus at an average of 30k miles a year, the diesel will cut nearly $5,000 a year off my fuel costs even when I add in the price bump of diesel and the AdBlue. Not to mention the GL350 is a much nicer vehicle in every aspect than the Hummer is.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and welcome messages. With two new Benzs' I'll probably have a lot of questions but I know how to use the search function first. Maybe one day I'll be able to contribute as well.

For a full liner in the back, try canvasback.com. I have one in my GL and it works quite well and easy to keep clean.

Awesome! I just got off the phone with Canvasback and am going to have them build a custom cargo bay cover that protects a bit higher up the sides as well as the interior of the rear side doors. It's great when you find "can do vendors"!

Thanks for the referral!
