2nd Row Seat Removal Help
Hello MB folks. I have a 2008 Gl450 X164, and was requesting if anyone could provide instructions on removing the second row Bench seat. Is it an easy DIY. I want to have a path to follow before I go forward.

second row removal
Did you ever get any help with the removal of the second row seats?
My wife put gasoline in my GL320 and I am trying to get access to the fuel tank.
I have the left (40%) seat out and am struggling with the right (60%) seat. Any help would be much appreciated.

Guys, I am also looking to see how to remove the 2nd row seat on an X164 2009 GL550. I have one of the seat belt receptacles that the case broke and I want to replace the far right two seat belt receptacles. They are held in place by a single torx bolt but I can't get in there to unbolt. Removing one of the two seat bottoms would make it easy.

They lift up at the back and pivot toward the front seat backs. Nice little loops to pull with. Is that not enough?
Not mentioned in any previous posts is that rear seats contain airbags .... disconnect the electrics and you’ll get an airbag light you’ll have to have a pro turn off.

lkchris, thank you. The loops had been pushed into the seat and I had to reach in there from the bottom to get to them. Now I have access to the seat belt part and figured out how to flip the right hand part of the 2nd row forward to use the third row or lay the seats all the way flat. Nice easy fix. Appreciate it.
