Adding a Turbo

I own the 2012 GL450, and was wondering if I can add a turbocharger into it. Im just looking to get really fast accelerations on it.

Who should I go to to add one, and what turbo should I buy.
i live near Portland, OR.

I'm new to car modding, so please tell me as much information as possible.

I want the turbo to be in the low end, mostly at 1k-4k rpm.
If I can fit/install 2 turbos, then that would be better.

Let me know if you need more information.

Thanks, Harinder G

I think you might want to check out your GL a bit more - you already have two turbos on the thing.

This.

The good news is the 450's V8 motor is virtually identical to the 550's so an aftermarket software mod (i.e. "tune") can dramatically increase power without the complexity of physical modifications or additions.

In addition, the 2012 450 is a X164 so that forum (link) is probably the best source of information on this topic.

The OP is in the wrong forum. The 2012 is an X164. It isn't turbocharged.

What about adding a JATO unit? That would give you some mad power.

Thanks for the correction, I was thinking the motors were carried over.

Easy. Ask in the correct forum I linked above. This forum is for the newer 2013+ X166 GL.

The Op has a 2012, which did not come turbocharged.
