thank you I've been busy with cold weather and family so I haven't really messed with the GLK much at the moment

Wow, great looking ride. Everyone has their own tastes and I love to see the directions other people go with their vehicles. Awesome work, can't wait to see the ongoing saga.

I got most of the parts now to make a cai from the throttle body. It will be similar to the dual AMG intakes. I'll get it started when I get home in a week or so.

Nice job, JLT!
Curiously if the the daytime running light can be retrofitted to look like the new GLE/GLC/C class on the headlight.

Well I got a little work done tonight on the JLT CAI
I had to split a few pieces of aluminum pipe to fab up a piece that will split into a Y in order to run both runners for the intake. I had to run mine a little lower since I run the SMERC upper front stress bar. I plan to run the piping below the bar. If I didn't have the SMERC strut bar it would have been a little easier.
I'll try to finish the center piece this week, I ordered some more aluminum pipe so I can connect a 90 degree pipe off the left intake runner so the rubber line from the SAI pump can be connected with the oem hose.

I got to weld a small tab on the back of the Y pipe that connects to the MAF so the wire clamp can be secured to the pipe just like the oem set up.

I'm also looking at rerouting the line that goes to the brake booster or making a new line.

Let me get this one finished up and I'll see what I can do. With this set up you will not be able to run the larger half of the engine cover. So I'm looking at possibly doing a new cover after I get everything finished up.
I still have a few mounting brackets to weld on and then get it power coated.

Are you planning to do any HP analysis, before and after numbers? I'd be curious if it produces any gains. I think the engine setup is different in the 2015 or I'd be begging for one too.

What do you think about the strut brace?

Thanks, the only braces I'm finding are Brabus and MBarts. Looks like Smerc Engineering isn't around anymore or at least not their website.
