Couple of issues first if you use any LED bulbs you will need something to make the car think it has the proper bulb in it. An LED does not show up with the same resistance load.
I do not think Cree makes automotive LED's
I would have to assume that your vehicle does not have the lighting package. If you did you would see that the HID bulbs are superior to the halogen lights. The HID's used to come with projector lenses which made the light more concentrated and light up the road more effectively.
LED lights if you can find them for your vehicle IMHO would be a big mistake. Unless they are from the factory I would not buy them as an after market item.

^yeah its the halogen lamps. its the wifes car and she didnt care for the lighting package even when i told her that it wont be bright enough. Ill probably look at phillips bulb replacements. Mercedes offered something 40% brighter for 60 bucks each. Saw some cree led bulbs on ebay for cars.

Looked on Flea Bay and saw a kit with Cree LED's. They don't fit GLKs from what I can see. Where did you find LED's that fit?

i dont know if the output will suffer from the led positioning , but the only vehicle i had with factory led , had the led facing forward (like flashlight) not upward like the vled kit .
I know there is a reflector but still losing the direct output of the led i think .

Better Bulbs
Try candlepower.com. Have had their OSRAM H7's in previous car. 50% more output than oem bulbs for less than $40/pair.
They have just about every bulb available & are knowledgeable.
