2013 GLK350 - low steering rumble
Tried searching for this but didn't see anything that matched exactly. In the last couple of weeks, my GLK has developed a low rumble under low speed, sharp cornering. I don't think there's anything in the wells that would be rubbing, as there's not a lot of vibration associated with the noise. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

if this only happens during the recent cold spell, then it's likely from the front differential. It'll go away if you go on a highway run for a good 10 min.
My 2013 does the same from time to time in very cold weather but it's hard to duplicate (after a highway drive to dealer it doesn't do it) and I don't want the dealer changing anything out and messing something else up. I just have them note it in service so that I can refer to it in the future if needed.

How old is the GLK? Rumble during hard cornering is normally a sign of constant velocity joint going bad. However, as Phil17 said it could be in the front differential. Normally differential make noise during acceleration or deceleration. Wheel bearing normally just get louder. CV joints make cornering noise.
