2010 glk350

Hi all
Just picked up my glk350 love the car it's awesome!!
But 2 things
I cant find the bloody aux cord even though it gives me the option to select it from audio source?
And my brakes are sqeaking i have read that it is common but it's embarrassing. Are BOSCH BC1406 good pads as im thinking just replacing the pads the roters look fine..

Any advice?

Your brakes are squeaking because the person who installed the pads did not put the anti squeal glue on the back side. Since the pads are not attached to the brake piston, and the only thing that moves them away from the disc is the metal spring put in between the two pads on the pins and the flex of the rotor, they will vibrate. The anti rattle spring actually helps them vibrate when there is light pressure on them and so they squeak. You need to use the blue stuff or other that basically glues the back of the pad to the piston and acts to dampen out the vibration and therefore the squeak.
Easy but time consuming fix is to pull the wheel, pull the pads, apply anti-squeak, lube the pins, replace pads, replace wheel, on to next wheel.

I have a 2010. I had to get the front pads replaced and they said that I should do all four. I took it as more of a hint 'yeah these pads are squeaky and we know it but we can't do anything other than replace them.' I knew I was going to keep the car so I had them do all four. Now it's smooth and silent except for the odd cold day. Worth every penny as now I am happy to stop and apply the breaks.
