2001 ML430 Will Not start - completely dead
Hi guys new to the forum and looking for help.
Like the head line states, my 2001 ML430 will not start; will not turn over at all.
Drove into work a few weeks ago perfectly fine, car drove brilliant. Finished work, tried to start, nothing, completely dead? Had the car towed home, wouldn't even start with a jump?
I have been reading the forums posts and found similar threads, keys not synced, new keys needed etc which is very confusing separated out across multiple threads, so I'm hoping to capture all the areas I should start to look and work through to finally resolve this problem, which seems to be nothing new.
Like I say I'm looking for help.
Thanks in advance.

First check that there is at least 12v at the battery with a DVOM. If so.................
With the key out of the ignition, remove the K8 starter relay. Make a 4", 10 gauge jumper wire with spade terminals attached and insert one end of the jumper wire into slot 30 and the other end into slot 87. The engine should crank, if it does immediately remove the jumper wire.
If the engine cranks your problem is from the steering column to the fuse box.
If it does not crank your problem is from the fuse box to the starter.
Post back with results.
