Need info on ML320 and ML55 Brake system break-down

Do anyone have any info on the parts (components) that make up the brake systems on a 2001 ML320 and 2001 ML55? So far the dealership mention the part numbers from the "Master Cylinder" and the "Brake Booster" is the same. Would there be any other components between the two vehicles (2001 ML320 and ML55) that is different? I would like to upgrade the brake calipers (fronts and rears) only on the 2001 ML320 to the brake caliper of the 2001 ML55 AMG if all the brake system parts is comparable the same, except the rotors and pads is going to be different. What would be the pros and cons on doing it this way (installing brake calipers) vs buying a brembo brake kit? And how is the brake calipers connected to the brake line?

Lessee.... Pads, rotors, calipers, hoses are all surely different.
The spindles also could be different.
Looks like a $2-3000 job, minimum for parts.

you are not even close on the estimate, for regular ml430 front brakes, (2) w/ pads and rotors was 2200+ for me, but then again those are the same brakes on the 1999 and 2000 ML55.

The spindle might be different depending on your chassis number. This is primarily important because the rear rotor splash shield is attached to the spindle (actually part of the assembly), and this MIGHT be different for the rotor size. A lot of changes are made to the ML in mid-year so you need to check the chassis number to be sure. It's actually a lot easier to just buy the minimum number of parts you want to change, and try them, and if you need more part, order them and move on. Yes, it takes longer and you might have the vehicle out of commission for a few days, but you will only get the minimum number of parts this way.

Oh, the hub is different too.

I think it shouldn't, but most recomment OE product.
