2006 ml350 new owner w/ questions!!

Just purchased a 2006 ml350, I'm looking to put 20" rims and a lower profile tire. Along with that some smoked tailights! Appreciate any suggestions from your experiences what has worked well what looks good etc. Pictures are never bad

-Thanks

Firstly congrats
Secondly never alter or replace the factory rims on your car

You will cause yourself many headaches once you start altering factory items the car has.

I have a 2006 ml and still has factory items. It still turns head when I drive. Just keep the car clean at all times.
The only regrets I have on mines was the gass mileage issue but I have no need to be sad about that

Hi congrats, I think you will be fine as long as you stay with a +1 ratio, meaning if you go 20" wheels you'll need 40 profile tires. It's a personal thing to make the vehicle your own. I think most of us understand, I'm a car guy so whatever I can do to make my vehicle different from the rest I try and do.

I've seen dozens of wheel and tire combinations available for our vehicles, don't change the offset or you will have issues, stay within the stock parameters and you can easily change out to something you like.

Here you go razzi, https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...-overdose.html
Look up more of posts, including post your pics. The wheels are factory 20x10 amg from a ml63 and the headlights are modified black Depo's you can find on ebay. They come black, I just retrofitted d2s and rewired the led blinkers. Oh, the tires are 275/45/20's.

Since you changed the whole head lamp package how does your blinker which normally blink on lower part of factory head lamp work? Do you just use the side mirror blinker?

It's posted above, 20"x10". You can find replicas on ebay and the oem ml63's time to time as well. The blinker works where your old high beam socket used to be, it's lame. the main headlight uses Bi xenon projector with a mechanical flipper for the high beam. The bottom led strip is your parking lights. I rewired it so the led becomes the parking/blinker. Don't ask me how(long), I used to be a technician. You can also do the DRL as well, kind of embarrassing how many of my car is from ebay, oh well.
