Scored these on ebay pretty cheap, too much normally. Been looking at them for a while and finally did it, compliments the depo led headlights well. I drove around with the led's on only on my street and actually can see pretty decent.

Sorry guys, been off the forum a bit. Nievesa, that's the same seller I bought the headlights from. The beam pattern was a bit disapointing on the stock depo/hid pnp solution, so I did the whole retrofit on mine. With the depo's you have to do some dremel inside the housing to get the oe/evox-r hid projectors to fit in there. Here's the thread on the the output shots https://mbworld.org/forums/m-class-w...ml#post5735793

Ur2slo, you can get any of the sellers on ebay on the drl's, they're all pretty much the same. I bought it from a private seller who didn't need it anymore.

How was installing them? How do they work? Like as drl (always on) on like fogs where you use the switch when you want them on?

Take out the stock fogs, cut some of the plastic bracket around the fog mounts. Not too hard, just be steady with a dremel. You will however loose your fog light function. I never used mine, so didn't matter to me. The new led/bezel just snap in where the stock bezel was. It comes with a resistor pack to connect to stock connector to fool the computer. Then connect the drl controller to the new leds and hook up ground and ignition/battery. I have mine on all the time 2full power. I tried a different controller to dimm them when lights on, but didn't work. My 50w hid drowns them out anyways.

So essentially after you install these you can never go back to the oem fogs? Im not a fan of the cutting part especially on a car like this.

Yes, can't go back. Mine's a 06, so nothing to loose. Looks so much better/updated, matches my ml63 grill and the led headlights.

The DRLs look really good - great install. Does anyone know of any links to images where this has been tried on the ML63 pre facelift bumper? Or can they only go on certain bumpers?

On a similar thread, there was one W164 facelift version that had factory DRLs. Anyone know of any attempts to dremel these into other bumpers?

Is cutting the oem foglight housing/mount necessary? Won't the new led drl snap into place over the old housing?
