standard life ML350 Blutec
All right ML350 Blutec owners, Im at 65000 miles, i have to replace the the adblue heater which will be done under an aftermarket warranty. The warranty gets me to 100,000 miles. What kind of life are you all getting with these SUV? I know about the oil seals but should i dump are keep?

Sorry, should have noted all the other issues, some sort of transmission issue that was fixed under warranty but that was a fight , the glow plugs and the controller, all this before 65,000 miles. I had a 2004 Tahoe with 100,000 and did not have to touch it except for oil and tires. Don't get me wrong, I like this truck but being on this forum it appears that Benz is not the "The best or Nothing" that they claim to be. Heck, I had one of the original Explores and 99,000 on it before I had a transfer case issue. I see, O rings on the intercooler that are going to cost me 3,800$ to change a $20 part, ECUs that go crazy for no reason, bearings that are substandard. I can handle the higher cost to maintain but quality for Benz is not what it use to be or what they say they are. I bought the Blutec hoping I could get to 200,000 with normal diesel upkeep.

I've had a bad experience in terms of longevity with my 2010 ML350 Bluetec, which succumbed to a seized engine at 82K miles in April 2015 as detailed here: https://mbworld.org/forums/diesel-fo...-seized-3.html

So am I reading this correctly that they putting in larger oil pans ? How do go about getting this done. I have not experienced the leakage of the oil seals yet and is that the major cause of this failure?

I would say dump it while you can.
Don't get me wrong. I love ML but during my ownership of ML350 & ML500 for over 7 years, there were always something to fix, one after another, too many to list here. Of course no car is perfect but ML is definitely not the car you want to keep it too long. Before I traded in, there were multiple issues that my local indy shop couldn't even touch but luckily my dealer didn't notice all of them and I got a new GLK250, otherwise I could end up spending well over $10k just to keep it running. Maybe it's best to have it while it's under a warranty.
Good luck.
