2007 ML350 overall satisfaction

Greetings from Atlanta. My name is Alex and I'm new here. I'm also new to the MB brand and will be hopefully purchasing an 07 ML 350 with low miles (68K) soon.
This vehicle has recently been serviced for the conductor plate issue at a cost of $1,200 by the current owner. It also falls outside the problematic range of engine component failures listed here, but if someone can double check it for me, I would appreciate it!

VIN - 4JGBB86E17A198303
Engine Serial # 272967 30 472998 (Not 100% sure)

My questions are:

How reliable will this vehicle be in the long run doing the MB schedule maintenance?

What kind of maintenance costs will I be looking at and is this a vehicle that can easily be maintained by a shade tree mechanic?

I'm used to taking my vehicles over 200K-250K with very little issues

Thanks in advance for all if your replies!

2006 ml350
I bought my 2006 ml350 with 72k and now have 128k. Here's what went wrong.
A/c compressor
Pr steering rack and reservoir
Intake manifold
Front diff bearings
L/r door lock motor
Climate control switching
All 6 ignition coils
Camshaft magnets

Maintenance items. Serp belt, spark plugs, air and pollin filters, transmission filter and fluid, brakes, rear axle fluid, tires, lots of bulbs

Bottom line. Now I've retired the car to a spare since nobody will pay a reasonable price to buy it. Typical Euro trash. Beautiful looking and driving car but the biggest pain in the butt money pit you will ever own besides an Audi or BMW.

Thanks for your feedback Kennyr! I did hear the 2006 ML's were somewhat problematic and I can see why. Thanks again!
