Out Of Control!!
Yes, sounds like you have a faulty passenger side flap assy---without a VIN it is hard to determine whether the dash must be removed to replace the flap actuator

Ada boy----Yep it's the right side blend flap actuator motor----however you are thousands of mile away and in the car---do me a favor--with the car running--turn the AC on(both sides) with the fan at max---you have three air distribution buttons on the AC control unit start at the top and push---wait ten seconds and then go to two and then go to three-------does any air come out of the passenger side vent in any of he positions--------if the answer is no or minimal then its a faulty flap actuator motor and will require the dash removal to replace the motor(mucho labor)
Now you have a choice of live with the problem or fix the problem!!

Just had a similar issue with my 2008 ML320 CDI.
Last week for some mysterious reason my center ventilation vents quit. I could get air from the top, bottom, and sides, but not the middle. Researched and found it could be a vacuum line or motor. My Indy checked all the 'stepper' motors and found them to be fine. He then reprogrammed the system and presto - they work!
Worth having the motors checked - if OK - maybe a reprogram is all you'll need.
