hello, while searching through the net for an excelero to "test drive", i came upon this site and a thread started by "Tebin" in this forum on 12-6-06. it was an enjoyable reading experience. just wanted to let you know that i think i discovered where ClayJ's "bachcave" is located... www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm. and an informative aside - http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/rus...gm-pimpatorial http://www.biz.yahoo.com/nytimes/080...8472.html?.v=3 does anyone here know where i can find an excelero to take for a sunny sunday scream-run, time trial to las vegas and back? thank you.

The excelero is an 8 million dollar car that only 2 of them are made .

Do you honestly think that they would let you drive that vehicle

maybe if you put 2 million down they would let you drive it for 10 minutes and if theres no scratches theyll give you back the money .

but even that is very hard to imagin .

any way go to your mercedes dealer and ask them about driving the excelero .

I really hope that they would respect you and dont make fun of you .

if you go to www.metacafe.com (enter exelero in search box)
you'll see some "regular" folks driving it.
there are a few more "driver" sites...

i just think it's a magnificent (or any synonym of your choice under "magnificent" at thesaurus.com) machine !

with all due respect, i realize that reality of my being able to drive this machine is not a probability.
it is simply an admirer's paean...

it is ironic that you should mention going to a dealership and making my request - a mile and a quarter from where i live is: Fletcher Jones Motor
Cars, Inc. "The nations official #1 Mercedes & Maybach dealership".
in this area it is sometimes difficult to identify who "has money" and who does not.

if i ever have the nerve to find out, i'll let you know...

i went to the dealership yesterday (mercedes-maybach).

the salesman said they were out of printed brochures, but asked if i'd
like to see his collected information.

i looked through his notebook. impressive.

i told him what i wanted and he said he would see what he could do using his contacts. he asked for my email address so that he could contact me with
whatever he found and to send me the new brochures.

i received an email this morning asking that if he found one did i want to go to the bonneville saltflats and drive it ? so, i don't believe he was making fun of me...

From what I understand the Excelero is not a production car. It was made as a concept / design study and unveiled the Fulda Carat Excelero tire.

It isn't, and you are correct.

Maybach did not intend to be at present date. What is this convo about someone going to a dealer and looking at brochures? No dealership will sell an Excelero, let alone entertain the discussion.

That's the point, how in the hell can they sell or test drive a car that's not in production? Jay put down major bucks to have the car for the 2 block ride trust me.

jay-zs people found out that they were doing training on the excelero in miami and they let him use the car, but he wasnt driving the car in the video. it was on rails.

he wanted a regular maybach and the dealership he went to was holding the thing while it was on a "tour" of major dealerships.

maybach insisted it be in the video as long as their people were with it

Point is, the discussion on getting one or talking to a dealer about one is

Excelero is not for public buying.

there is only 1 exelero on the planet thats called earth . and its for sale in viena , austria and the asking price is 8 million dollars .

so how is your dealer going to arange a test drive , i dont have the ability to comprehend . mayby your talking about a 57 or a 62 not an exelero .

any way if your going to drive an exelero , your one lucky dude . and im one hundred percent geleous of you .
take some pics and post it here because im going to print it and save it for ever , brother .

I agree with you, I think excelero is the most expensive car on the market, it's not possible to test drive one

This is just near my house! supostly it was a rich guy farm that was "taken" by the politics in the 75 revolution here in Portugal, and was only discover a few years ago!
