Haha. Add 88 to the end of the part number to get the Reman. 5424.00 is the price I come up with, with a $670 core. :P Still, one alternator or a Hyundai Accent. It is your choice.

I thought the engine was very similar to the S600. Can you not use the S600 alternator?

The 600A water cooled Maybach alternator

That is what some Maybachs have. Yes, 600 amps. Starts to make the price look a bit more reasonable. I bet having it water cooled and keeping the electronics dry was a bit of work.

2006 maybach 57 alternator

when replacing this alternator does it need to be reprogrammed? that is what the dealer is telling me and wants me to bring the car there i already have it in a shop.say they cannot sell me the part without bringing it there ,told me this after taking 7300 dollars from me for the part.any help greatly appreciated.
