1986 M-Benz 190e 2.3-16
1986 MB 190e 2.3-16 SLS questions.

Mercedes Benz 190e 2.3-16 Model Number 201.034 SLS issues.
If I let the car sit undriven for a few days, the rear will squat down and the hydraulic resorvoir fluid will raise a few inches. When I start the engine, its a hit or miss if the SLS pump makes the rear end sit back up to proper ride height. There are no visible leaks outside the vehicle. If I drive the car with the rear end squatting down the car is extremely unstable as well. Once I get the SLS system to pressurize and raise the car back to stock ride height, the handling is normal.
My question is this. With the car being 30 years old should I just go ahead and have the SLS load adjustment valve underneath the car replaced? I know that it does develope leaks and the leaks cause the rear end to squat down.

Thanks, Joe

Sounds like a check valve leaking back to reservoir.
I just discovered a pto on my engine head for the SLS pump and could sure use a manual diagram of the unit.
My pump PTO is on a 617.952 turbo diesel and pump outlet is blocked with delete plate.
With plate off there is one bolt going through head and another hole open. I need to know if a bolt is missing or if this hole remains open for oiling.
