Anyone regretting buying ML63?
Hi guys, I'm curious if you are happy with your ML63 and what made you get one instead of W212 E63 4Matic Kombi which has the same (even 5 boxes of milk bigger) cargo space.
I'm thinking about buying a mint 2013 ML63 for about the same price a 2013-2014 E63S 4Matic Kombi would cost.
I'm a little bit surprised the ML is similar in dynamic performance as my old W210 E55
http://www.zeperfs.com/duel4322-237.htm and of course the E63 is much faster and drinks less fuel.
Also ML63 has a terrible braking performance, much worse than let's say Cayenne Turbo.
How about a comparison E vs ML in ride comfort and long distance driving?

I just logged on to start my search on this truck. I've had a number of great AMG's and now I'm driving a beast of an X5M. The X5 is stupid fast and drives like a sports car, my only gripe is that it lacks on luxury and doesn't sound right even with the Eisenmann.
I'm subd, looking for honest reviews..

I've owned my GLE for 4 months now and I'm loving it so far. I love the speed, sound, comfort, design, interior and overall look.
Before I tell you what I don't like about it is these are things I was aware of before purchasing the vehicle so they would be in general terms of a SUV. I don't like going to the gas station every 4 days, my fiance is 5'2 so she needs to use the running boards to get to seat easier.
I also have an E320 and I would say the suspension is very boat like. In long distance comfort comparison, I would say the E class takes the trophy only because it has non AMG suspension.
I hope that helps a bit though its a different comparison since they're both not AMGs. You won't regret it though!

ML 63 Problem
My 2013 ML 63 has a chronic problem. Lost compression two years ago. had two cylinders basically re-built, and now this past month same issue. Not sure if it's the same two, or others. I'm waiting for the details. Thankfully it's all warranty work. Thinking about jumping out into a GLS, but not a AMG. I thought buying basically a hand made engine would be the answer to long time relationship.
Wonder if anyone else has had the same CKL issue?

Wife has a GLE350. LOVE IT. Super boring but it's really a pleasure to drive. It's like a taking a break going from a tuned X5M with Eisenmann race to the GLE. I'm a fan of it for sure.

ML63 AMG, Ferrari F430 F1 Spider
Absolutely awesome!
My wife and son went shopping for a 'performance 4x4. They looked at Range Rovers (too common and awful reliability), Jeep SRT's (sounds great, but poor build quality), Porsche Cayenne (terrible reliability) and the ML63 AMG.
She ended up buying a 3 month old ML63 the performance pack and every extra possible (it was owned by the chairman of the PLC dealership we bought it from) and it is AWESOME! Absolutely fabulous!
It sounds like an F1 car, handles brilliantly and is really luxurious. We LOVE it! LOVE it! LOVE it.
If I was being picky and I mean Picky. The reversing camera should be better. It's a bit grainy.

ML63 AMG BiTurbo
Not yet.
We got this because it was able to carry 4 people + the dog AND it made great power, very safe, roomy in the back seats. I'm very happy we ended up with the ml. (So far)
Headlight failure though is 2.5k to replace and wasn't coveted under third party warranty...
Living where it snows sometimes we put non studded ice tires on it for winter, wow they are amazingly good. It's like driving a big oversized wrx sti.
The active cruise control is fantastic too.
Had it tuned, 600hp+ for ecu flash transformed it into a weapon.

I got a 2013 last year, love it. Couple funny issues, but I work at a benz dealer so not much to worry about. (soft close doors popped open while driving, rear window exploded randomly in my garage overnight, and had a hell of a time with losing tire pressure. All is good now, my techs took car of it.)
I deleted my resonator and it sounds mean as **** now. Crackles on downshifts and cold start is 10x better. I have some 22s going on next week and might black out some trim. Overall pretty happy.
