W166 Test Driven
Does anyone have access to the latest printed edition of Autobild? They have a World exclusive and have driven the 2012 M Class.
If you can get your hands on one and scan or summarise here what they say, it would be great.

2013 ML350 Bluetec
Used market ML Win
Just bought a lightly used/business leased 2013 ML350 Bluetec to replace my soon to be bought back VW TDI Sportwagen. 33K for a loaded model with 29,000 miles made me a happy camper.
Quite the upgrade from the VW, and still rocking a diesel.
Looking forward to maintenance and mods on this new rig. Nice user forum here - I'm glad to find it. MB dealership maintenance isn't really in the budget, so DIY tips will be most welcome in the years to come. Pics will follow as I make this one mine.

Very good choice Highwayman. I leased the same vehicle beginning in 2012. That Diesel engine is really impressive. I had driven two GL450's on lease, a 2007 and 2010. They were really nice, but too big for what I did with them. The Diesel engine in the 2013 towed the same trailer that the big GL's had been pulling every bit as well, if not better.

I also just picked up a 2104 ML 350 Bluetech. Another soon to be former golf TDI owner. Loving the benz diesel so far. Amazing how smooth a quiet it is. Looking forward to learning everything about it.

I recently picked up a 2015 ML400, CPO, 38k miles, loaded. I absolutely love this vehicle! I struggled mightily over choosing between the 400 and the 550 and in the end tried to make a grown up decision and take the 400?!
I traded in a TRD 4Runner and what a difference!
I picked it up last Monday and drove 1500 miles over Christmas in two separate blizzards and the ML ran flawlessly!
It's not my E55 AMG (nothing is?!) but it's more than enough for what I need.
That being said, I'm seriously considering adding the Kleemann tune for just a little extra. Has anyone attempted this for the ML400? I tried to do a search but couldn't find anything?

Happy New Year to all!

Finally!!!!
After originally posting on this site back in May, it look this long for my neighbor to sell me her mom's vehicle due to Alzheimers.
2013 ML350 BT with +/- 18,000 kms or about 11,000 miles. Balance of warranty 'till October 2018, clean slate as far as any prior issues/bugs. Picked it up for $39k CAN, which in itself is a great deal, especially considering the low mileage. White with all the fixin's including that annoying system that makes your steering wheel shake when "it" thinks you're wandering in your lane (deactivated by me back in May while test-driving).
To do list;
- Fix minor ding in right rear door panel
- Lowering springs as I've seen done by others here
- Finally, wheels & tires, but that'll have to wait 'till springs
Can't wait!!!!!

You will love it. I had a 2014 ML350 Blutec on lease, company car. My wife has a 2013 ML350 gasser. Both are great drives but the power of that diesel made it my prefered of the two. Enjoy your ride!

Hey Guys, I thought I would introduce myself as a new ML owner. That is the point of this thread, right!
I am a long time E Class wagon owner (W210, W211, and W212) and I just switched over to a 2015 ML 350 Bluetec from a 2011 E350.
I have always thought SUVs were for soccer Moms / Dads who couldn't see over the hood and wanted the extra steel around them to protect them from their own bad driving. . Lol. Folks who would never venture past a Costco parking lot, much less a gravel road.
While that may still be true in some cases, I do enjoy the benefit of improved fuel economy, cheaper fuel (in Canada it is around 15-20% cheaper than premium gasoline), the capability of towing 7,500 lbs, or 4 bikes on a platform rack, towering sight lines, improved lighting, rear-heated seats, 360 camera, the ability to do some light off-roading. None of which I could do with the E wagon unfortunately.
i look forward to consulting the forum for advice on the new-to-me ride. I have heard more frequent oil changes than recommended are a must. I'm sure there are many other tips and tricks to learn. For example how often to rust proof, any other maintenance items to look out for.
Thanks to all !

2013 NEW SHAPE ML350 W166 HALOGEN HEAD LAMPS :(
Hi Guys
Has anyone changed/upgraded the complete Headlights on a ML 350 from the Halogen to the new LED Headlights on the new new GLE type ?
I've seen post from a guy in China that supplies the headlights but i'd prefer to deal with someone in the UK so they can actually install them etc
Thanks

Hi, I am new to here and Mercedes. I am in Toronto. I just got a 2014 ML 350 Bluetec gifted to us by my father in law. I may ask some questions, but I have been reading already. So far I learned that I think I have a NTG 4.5/4.7 Command head unit and I cannot get Android Auto on it
