Frank attends local spa (pics)
Yes Frank enjoyed a treat and went to the local spa AutoObsessed
My initiative was to have a complete Gtechniq EXO Nano coating.
Here are a few pics courtesy of AutoObsessed..they give you a memory stick of the event when you pick up your vehicle..
I gotta say the internet sure reduces the resolution & quality of image files..!!
All cleaned up and parked in the clean room for delivery..

They charge by the hour so it's pretty much up to the customer as to how far/much time the detail is to go...$100 / hr all materials included ( about $400 materials for me ) total was $1500..

Frank looks like new! Btw I like how you call him Frank. I find it weird that the gender for cars seems to be dominantly female (at least in this forum), especially in case of a powerful SUV, that's pretty masculine to me. In Germany cars are not male or female, they are just an IT, unless you call it by the brand name, then it's male "der Mercedes".

He's named after Peter Frank who assembled his heart (note pic of the AMG motor cover badge above)

Just found this thread. Your car looks great. It will be interesting to see how long those gtechniq products hold up. I used gtechniq last year on my mdx adv and it only lasted about a year, granted it's parked outside all the time and we had a horrible winter. I believe they claim it can last up to 3 years.
When I Picked up my ML400 2 weeks ago first thing I did when I got home was detail it. I went w opticoat this time as I've had good results w it on other cars.
Anyway, nice ride man and they did a great job on your car.

The operative word here being "WHEN." Obviously this gentleman is someone who goes to great pains and expense to keep his vehicle looking like new, just as I did with my black 2013 S550. However, when I traded the S550 for my WHITE ML350BT, all of that went by the wayside. I now send my car through the car wash once a week. When it is still fairly clean and a bird messes it up, I just hit it with some Windex and wipe it off--a practice that would have utterly ruined the flawless shine on my black car, but which is completely unnoticeable on my white car. No, life is just too short to put up with a black car--unless, of course, you are one of those folks who buys a black car and then proceeds to treat it like a white car, in which case it looks like S__T pretty much all the time, even right after it us washed. Solid Non-Metallic WHITE rules!

This is a beautiful detailing job, done by professionals using some of the best products - and it shows! After years of detailing my own cars and trucks, from every manufacturer and every color you can think of and using every kind of wax and sealant, I finally found the holy grail. First, white is now my color of choice for a variety of reasons. Diamond White to be exact. I do not believe there is a better white paint than this.
I wash with a quality shampoo (there are many good ones) on a weekly basis or sooner as needed. Every few months I wash with a foam gun, clay if necessary with a mild bar (such as Griots), prep with P21S Paintwork Cleanser using a Griot 6" electric polisher with a finishing pad (I seldom need to use an abrasive polish) and my last step product is Sonax Polymer Netshield. After every second or third maintenance wash I top with Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer as a booster. I highly recommend these products, at least on Mercedes' Brilliant White paint.
If you want a little richer, deeper look to this color paint rather than the sparkling, candy apple "sealant" look of Netshield, you could use Collinite 845 Insulator Wax instead. Both Netshield and 845 will give you six months of protection easily under all but the most harsh conditions. Use these on your wheels as well and they not only will look great but will help repel brake dust as good as any dedicated wheel dressing.
On the other hand, if you have an extra $1500 laying around, just bring your car to a pro.

I've got to say, nanook, your ML is absolutely nuts! It's like an f-ing supercar for snow country. Very tastefully done, suitable for the country club or the race track, but damn, the upkeep on that thing must border on obsession for you! (I've never even considered taking my wheels off to detail INSIDE the rim, let alone paying someone else $100/hr to do it!)
fantastic looking, and sounding(I'm sure) car.
