Got Taken Out
This happened on Wednesday on my way to work, I was at a stop on the interstate due to construction and a 18 wheeler came over the hill and took me out. Caused a ripple effect, pushing me into the car in front of me and them into another, so on, so on. I'm good but the ML did not make it. Only 10 months old. It did its job and I would not have wanted to be in any other car. Some talk both good and bad about what we build here in Tuscaloosa but I am even more brand loyal after this. As soon as the paperwork is done, I will start the build process for another great vehicle.

Body shop said they would have to rebuild the entire rear end from the B-Pillar back. The rear floor, roof, left and right long members were buckled. They did not feel comfortable putting me and my family back in that car. I agree. It took on hell of a hit from a fully loaded semi and allowed me to walk away. It did its job wich is worthy of its 5 star+ crash rating. Now it is time to put another order in!

Ouch! Looks very similar to the ML350 that we have. Glad you are okay
One of the many reasons I love Mercedes is the safety of their vehicles.
Hope it doesn't take you too long to get a new one

Glad you're okay. Amazing how the car came through that impact.
I did get a chuckle on your photo bucket page of the sample Christmas card with the MB on it!
Happy to drive an "AwsomeMoBile"

I think I will build the majority back to what I had. I will add a few little things like ambient lighting, multi contur seats, soft close doors and running boards.
I checked on the ML(GLE)400 but the price is way too much for 29 extra HP. if we still had the V8, I would make the jump,

You are wise to not accept a repair job. The structural integrity of a damaged car is too much of chance to take with the safety of your family, plus are never "the same" after a hit like that .

Thanks, I told my wife that we are going to sell her car (Jetta) and purchase a second m-class (GLE), I know it will not be cheap but I know they will be safe!

Sometimes it's not so much the vehicle but maybe how the hit happens.
We were rear ended by Ford Expedition Stretch Limo in our Honda Element.
Did $6k damage to the Element and both my wife and I were unhurt , not even sore afterwards. I was really surprised at how strong the "people box" was in the Element. The body shop guy said his daughter was in a bad wreck in her Honda Element and didn't get hurt. He said they were on of the safest vehicles he's seen and he works on them all. That is why he bought his daughter one for college.
Ours was totaled so I didn't have to deal with a repaired vehicle, but I would of not kept it if It was repaired in any event.

2015 ML 350 Gas(Polar White). 2015 ML 350 gas(Lunar Blue). 68 mustang
New one hits production two weeks from today!
Pretty much looks like my last one:
ML 350 gas
Polar white
4 matic
AMG appearance package w/20" wheels
Airmatic
Lane tracking
Parking assist w 360 view
Almond beige interior
Open pore ash trim
Ambient lighting
Lighting package
Multicontour seats
Premium package
Heated cooled cup holder(now part of the package for the rear seat pass through)
Trailer hitch
Running boards (mainly for my son and wife. Last car had the AMG rockers and they scratched the mess out of them)
Soft close doors
I thought about the 400 but it would have been about 4k more and I could not justify that for a few more options and worse gas mileage(according to MBUSA),
Hopefully I will have some pictures some time in February.
