Oil

I have a 2013 ml Blutec and a 2013 ml63. I assume that both use Mobil 1 0-40 both from the factory and the dealership but can't seem to find that any where. The message center says the 63 would like a quart.

Two different engines that call for two different oils. The bluetec uses mobil1 ESP 5w-40. The ML63 uses the mobil1 0w-40.

Doncha just love how much the dealers don't know about how to properly service these vehicles!

See the two attachments. One of them came out of your owners manual.

Or go to http://www.exxonmobil.com/pdssearch/search.aspx and input the spec for your country and then the MB spec number like 229.5

Just bought a 2015 ML250 BlueTEC. Went to the parts dept to ck on oil. My Parts Dept friend showed me the NEW oil for my diesel.
5W30 with a GREEN slash across the label. It is Mobile1 that will soon be repackaged as a Mercedes brand oil.

Interesting.
Seems that Mobil1 is making a product that widely meets everyone's standards at last. Specs are very comparable to the ESP Formula M 5w 40.

Hopefully it is available everywhere soon.

As for currently buying the ESP Formula M 5w 40, I order mine here. Not a bad price as of now.
