Ready for A2 service for 2012 ML-350 4Matic

Well, it reminded me that A2 service are due in 14 days.

for a 2012 ML-350 4Matic, what are the A2 service include? I googled but didn't find anything specific to the ML-350.
I already got new set of tires, new wipers. Are there anything else I can do outside of dealership? How much do typical A2 cost?

Thanks

I bought the three year maintenance agreement so I do not know the specific cost per service. Here is a pdf you can download showing the maintenance performed at yearly and 10,000 mile intervals: http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/servic...gine=undefined

The 30K is shown in the link the others already gave you from MBUSA' site where you download the Maintanace Manual with charts.

30K is mostly a oil change with oil filter change plus dust filter change and they look at various componets on the vehicle as shown in that Maint Manual online. Like check fluid levels, check brake pad thickness, tire rotation, wiper blades blah, blah.

I've a '14 and bought the pre paid for three years policy. Bad move. When my 40K maint came up I paid out the nose for the 40K maint in dollars. The three year or 30K mile policy lasted me less than one year. Sucks. My fault for driving the ML. Shoulda left it in the garage and made it a garage queen and taken the taxi. Same tires and brake pads at 40K.

Saying I don't have the cost for a 30K due to having a pre paid policy at that time.

I downloaded that Maint Manual on the following thread: https://mbworld.org/forums/new-m-cla...r-filters.html under my name on that thread. They won't let me download it a second time on This thread.

HailerS2, I have the opposite problem you have. I don't put on many miles on my 2012 ML350 and so service is done yearly rather than based on mileage. I bought the 3 year maintenance agreement and in May I will be using my third and last installment. I have a little more than 22,000 miles on it and probably won't have more than 24,000 when I bring it in for that third service.

What this means is that certain things will be changed out as a matter of protocol because the service demands it but those things are not worn out by use, only by a "time" which is not an accurate reflection of whether they need replacing or not. This will be very true next year at the 4 year maintenance where the transmission fluid is changed. That service is over $1000 but who would change it at only about 32,000 miles? It is sealed and should be good for twice that. I probably won't have it done anyway as I usually trade when my car's warranty runs out.

The maintenance minder (if you want to call it that) on our vehicle is not very good because it does not take into account conditional factors, such as engine revolutions and temps and habits of driving. Ten years ago I had a Honda and it based its maintenance schedule on many factors that the on board computer recognized. This would be ideal for people who put on more mileage than I do. This was in regards primarily to oil change intervals and it gave you a percentage of oil life expectancy that was very accurate (according to Blackstone Lab oil analysis). It was not a perfect system but better I think than some arbitrary 10,000 mile/one year figure that Benz uses.

Yup, the four year cost me 1600 and I'm sure my memory isn't off much at all. I see we do have the opposite problem.

I've a 2011 CL I bought in mid Dec and it was taken in this morning at nine am for service. I only bought a two year service policy on that one and I think that needs to be thought out a bit better.

The four wheel drive worked real well in the snow/ice that fell last night in Ft Worth, Tx. Next car I buy will have it for sure. I was thinking prior to this snow/ice, that the next time I buy a car it would be just rear wheel drive 'cause they usually get or are rated one mile per gallon better than four wheel drive vehicles. Done for now. Gone

At 20K miles the A2 (A1+brake fluid) cost me $400 with coupon. Dealers here tend to price match.
