Best GLE deal I could get?
#26
I ordered a GLE 450 coupe last month, and only found 1 dealer willing to accept my control number (Friends & Family plan 12.25% off) right now. Was supposed to be delivered near the end of this month, but looks like it's now pushed to Oct 4th.

Yeah, you gotta call some more dealers. And it is simple. Call and ask for the internet director and tell him you will pay $X under invoice (and if you are special ordering...plus any incentives that you qualify for at time of delivery)."
When I purchased the ML I received an additional $1500 off for the winter event off, for a total of $3000 under invoice.
Call Bev Hills, DTLA, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Laguna Hills. Also call back the other dealers and say, "I have a deal for $X under invoice plus incentives for a 2016 special order but I rather buy from you. Can you beat it?" If he asks you for proof, tell him that you don't feel comfortable with doing so. I have only been asked for proof once in about 25 times. You shouldn't be asked for a deposit.
You have over 20 MB dealers in socal. Some dealers aren't very aggressive with pricing and that is fine. But if you want $1500 under or even more under invoice (plus incentives) on a special order 2016 it is freely out there.

I put in my order for a GLE Coupe 450, 6.5% below MSRP plus I had fleet rebate and free maintenance , so I'm happy with that. You just gotta be able to go around dealers to get teh best deal.

financing can be an incentive however it is usually cash offered to consumer to move metal. Winter Event is an incentive and might offer up to $1500. Do a search on incentives and learn more.

Midwest Below Invoice?
Has anyone been able to get under invoice in the Midwest recently? I don't think I'm going to make it to $1,500 under invoice like in SoCal but would like to get at least $500+ under.
I'm trying to special order a GLE300d and the best offer I've had yet is $4,000 off MSRP (slightly over invoice) in the Chicago area (about 5 hrs away).
I also just submitted a Costco request but don't have the pricing yet. Not many Costco dealers in the Midwest.
Every internet manager I talk to has the same "its in high demand", "its brand new" lines of why they can't go below invoice. Blah, blah, blah...

Try to find the GM's email info and tell him that you will buy/order it today for $X under invoice +incentives. Pricing is heavily dependent on market. It is better to give them an actual number rather than to just say under invoice. And it is better to say that you have a quote for $X under+incentives but you want to check with him if it is a good deal.
It is funny how they are saying that is in high demand yet they are willing to sell it for close to invoice.
Good luck.

27T..you are so right. After a few emails, I received a quote of $1500 under invoice plus 2yr prepaid Maint for a special order 2016 GLE 350 4MATIC. I was told by the salesman to wait for the Nov winter event for additional incentive. I will do that and work on a 4 yr prepaid Maint on top of that😎
Don't wait until Nov to order. Get a slot earlier so that it gets delivered in Nov.

One question for you (sorry I'm a noob): Are you including a fleet discount (from Penfed, USAA, etc.) when you are talking about $1,500 under invoice?
Getting ready to fire out some emails to internet managers at several dealerships tomorrow and didn't know if it would be best practice to tell them about eligibility for fleet discount up front.

Include your cell phone in the email and ask for a specific number. Once you get that number, shop that number around to see if there is anything better. Or just take the first person who says yes and be done with it. At some point just take a deal and move forward.
Be courteous and stick to your guns. You will get dealers who are straight shooters and some who just learned some new way to "close" you and will practice it on you. Thank each one for their time and quote and enjoy the new car purchase process.

Important tip: If you are ordering a car always ask for the printout from the system because it is easy for the salesperson/assistant to make a mistake. This happens more often than you think.

Just took delivery of my GLE400 today. Ordered early August. MRSP $72875. Bought it for $63580 (includes $2000 USAA incentive). Funny, final plant assembly on window sticker was Sindelfingen, Germany, although the vehicle is made in Vance, Alabama. VIN sticker inside drivers door had Vance, Alabama as point of manufacture.
