Best GLE deal I could get?
I placed an order in June for a GLE and the dealer is offering us 2% off MSRP. They're also claiming they will not honor the free 2 year prepaid maintenance they offered after our previous lease, because of the discount.
I don't feel like I'm getting a great deal, but because it's a new car that's not been released yet, I'm not sure if I could get anything better.

If you have ordered a GLE - with the colors/options you want - without having a pre-agreed "discount" - frankly - once it arrives - you have a bit more "leverage" at that time.
On a $60K GLE - lease - one can choose to focus on the lease payment - from the top line "cost" - 2% = $1200, each addition % is $600 off the top, so if a target lets say is 5% off - that is $3000 - so compared to $1200 off you could be looking at a adition al $1800 off the top.
If you are leasing - then FYI - I wouldn't sweat that too much - since on a lease written correctly - prepaid maintenance can be "purchase" as a capitalized cost - meaning a 2yr/3yr ppd maintenance pack cost you only the depreciated value - example a $1000 ppd plan "costs" you 40% or $600 - a $1500 ppd plan costs you $900 - makes ppd maintenance on a lease plan a big bargain for you - under a properly written lease - you "pay" less for your ppd maintenance than what the dealer would pay to "give" it to you.
Once the rig arrives - you are withing a couple of grand to close the deal - and a bit more from their side at that time will have you driving off - lower your lease payment a bit - and you and the dealer will both be happy.

I got my GLE350W4 deal only with 1k off MSRP, and thats already the best I can get. salesman mentioned there are huge demand of new GLE, so the discount wont be that ideal.

Once the GLE hits the dealer - yes, a great rig - customers will be very surprised - for those customer's reaching ahead - without seeing the GLE "yet" - from my side e a "little bit" more love should be there..

I'm buying a GLE400 with a few options. One dealer quoted no discount and another got back to me quickly offering 7%. The second dealer got it right with the correct attitude and level of discount. No prizes for guessing which will get my business.
It might have new nomenclature but the GLE remains a mass produced ML and discount levels should be similar to those for the outgoing ML. You just have to find a dealer who wants your business.

When I left for vacation last Monday - initial release of GLE at that time was scheduled to start Aug 11th - with about 6K GLE350GLE300's stacked up and some GLE450 cpupes as well - about 6400 units at VPC's.
It will take a bit of time to peel all those ouyt to transport - but about 90%+ should be a dealers before Aug month end.
For those pre-sold units that have been already "built" - they will be in this mix - and your dealer can check to see "when" your MB is turned over to transport - once turned over to transport dealer does not have a track during that last part of the process - understand there will be some short-term clogging in that pipeline over the next 2-3 weeks so don't get too edgy.
Keep the beat !

I saw one last Wednesday morning that had just come off the truck. Pretty nice looking. The interior was still somewhat covered with protective stuff, but it was pretty sweet. Salesman said quite a few more would be in before the weekend. My 13 ML350 is in their service area waiting on a CV joint, due in Monday. I'll see more then, I hope. I think its a darn shame they no longer offer the 6 banger oil burner option.

Just bought a 2016 GLE350 for my wife on Friday. The sticker was $64k - they sold it for $60k. The only caveat was that I have to pick it up today (8/31) to qualify for the Summer Event pricing.

Nice! seems like a similar deal to the one I am looking at. Sticker was $63k and selling price is $59k.

I just picked mine up; GLE350 4matic. I paid 54k plus taxes. Premium package, Leather seats, heated steering wheel, chrome package, Harmon Kardon sound system. I got 5% off MSRP for ordering without seeing it in person, plus 2500$ off for fleet discount. I basically paid MSPR with my upgrades.

I got it about an hour west into the chicago suburbs. It's a smaller town so while they aren't hurting for business, they aren't necessarily having high rollers come in on a daily basis (like in the suburb I'm from/in the city). They have more of that family friendly vibe than "sell sell sell". The dealer even sent me pics when it came in as I was out of town at the time. The 4matic starts at 54,525 so I basically got it at MSPR/invoice.

When I purchased the ML I received an additional $1500 off for the winter event off, for a total of $3000 under invoice.
Call Bev Hills, DTLA, Calabasas, Thousand Oaks, Laguna Hills. Also call back the other dealers and say, "I have a deal for $X under invoice plus incentives for a 2016 special order but I rather buy from you. Can you beat it?" If he asks you for proof, tell him that you don't feel comfortable with doing so. I have only been asked for proof once in about 25 times. You shouldn't be asked for a deposit.
You have over 20 MB dealers in socal. Some dealers aren't very aggressive with pricing and that is fine. But if you want $1500 under or even more under invoice (plus incentives) on a special order 2016 it is freely out there.
